The Global Heat Flow Data Research Infrastructure is the central platform where heat flow data (What is heat flow?) and supporting measurements are collected, integrated, and made publicly available. Users can access the quality-controlled Global Heat Flow Database of the International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC) online via interactive tools. 

Despite ongoing digitization efforts, many valuable datasets remain in non-digital formats, awaiting integration into the database. Harmonizing data from diverse origins, periods, or methodological approaches is a key challenge. To address this, IHFC members and voluntary experts actively monitor, validate, and enhance the datasets in collaboration with governmental agencies, research institutions, industry partners, and the wider scientific community. Their continuous efforts ensure that the Global Heat Flow Database remains a high-quality, reliable research resource worldwide.

The new Global Heat Flow Data Research Infrastructure continues to evolve, integrating new data sources and refining data quality standards. The collective efforts of the IHFC and its global partners ensure that researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals have access to comprehensive, accurate, and valuable geospatial heat flow data for scientific and applied research.
